Itinerary

---

Day 1: Guwahati to SHILLONG

Travel Distance: 98 km

 

• Arrive at Guwahati before 10:30 AM and meet our representative who will have brief introduction and plan of action.
• We will head to Shillong which is a beautiful hill station nestled in the heart of Meghalaya.
• It is popularly known as the "Scotland of the East" for its unmatched beauty.
• On the way we will visit the beautiful Umiam Lake or Barapani.
• Upon reaching Shillong, we will check into our hotels and spend some leisure time.
• In the evening, we'll go to Cafe Hopping and explore the Local market of Shillong as well.
• Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong to Cherapunjee

 

Travel Distance: 50 km

 

• Post morning breakfast & packed bags, we will head for Cherrapunjee.
• Today we hike down to experience the beautiful 3-layered waterfall Wei Saw Dong.
• This is sweating hike but on reaching u will be mesmerized to experience this beautiful waterfall and a sense of accomplishment grips you.
• We will visit Mawphlang Sacred Grove: A lovely forest trail around the sacred forests to get you up & personal with the mythology of this region is what is on offer.
• If time and all are enthusiastic we will visit Arwah Caves which is a fun way to explore caves lined with stalactites & stalag

Day 3: Drive to Shnongpdeng via Laitlum

Travel Distance: 88 km

• Wake up early morning and get ready.
• Have early morning breakfast and head towards Dawki which is famous for the fascinating turquoise Dawki river that resembles a glass surface.
• En-route, we'd visit the Krang Shuri waterfall which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Meghalaya with its silky cascading water.
• We'll also be visiting Laitlum Canyons which is a vantage point from where you get to see a panoramic view of the valleys of Meghalaya.
• Upon arrival in Dawki, we'll check into our riverside camps in Shnongpdeng which is a small village tucked peacefully within the borders of the town.
• In the evening, we'll host a bonfire.
• Dinner followed by an overnight stay in camps in Shnongpdeng.

Day 4: Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong

 

Travel Distance: 90 km

 

• Post breakfast, We'll indulge in adventure activities like Cliff Jumping, Boating, and Snorkelling, in the sparkling river.
• Afterward, we'll head towards Cherrapunji which is popular for its living root bridges and for the abundance of rainfall that this town witness every year.
• En route, we'll be traversing the Indo-Bangla Border as we visit Mawlynnong which holds the title of Asia's cleanest village and seems like a vast orchard of green canopies spreading across.
• The village also offers breath-taking views of the neighbouring Bangladesh plains.
• Upon our arrival in Cherrapunji, we'll check into our hotel where we'll spend the night.

Day 5: Trek to Double Decker Bridge

 

Travel Distance: 50 km

 

• After early morning breakfast, We'll also visit the Seven Sister falls which is a beautiful seven-segmented waterfall stretching along a rocky cliff.
• Afterward, we'll be visiting one of the most notable landmarks in Cherrapunji which is the Mawsmai Caves.
• The caves are made of limestone with stunning stalactites adorning the roofs giving them a mystical charm.
• Then we'll head towards Nongriat village and start our trek to the iconic Double Decker Living Roots Bridge.
• The trail consists of gushing sound of river, cluster of colourful butterflies, and enchanting forests making it extremely fulfilling.
• Afterward, we'll head back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 6: Drive from Cherrapunji to Shillong

 

Travel Distance: 50 km

 

• After early morning breakfast, we'll check out of our hotel and head towards Shillong.
• En route, We will visit the Nokalikai waterfall which is the tallest plunge waterfall in Meghalaya with a staggering height of 1,115 ft.
• Upon arrival in Shillong, we'll check in to our hotel where we will spend the night.

Day 7: Drive from Shillong to Guwahati via Umiam Trip Ends

 

Drive distance: 98 km

 

• After early morning breakfast, we'll check out of our hotel rooms and head back to Guwahati.
• En route, we'd visit the popular Umiam Lake which is one of the biggest artificial lakes in Meghalaya.
• Upon reaching Guwahati, you will be dropped at Airport or railway station.
• Our tour will end here with lots of Happy memories and fun.

Terms & Conditions

If this trek/tour is cancelled due to Covid Lockdown or natural calamity

In case the tour gets cancelled because of local lockdown or natural phenomena or any other reason beyond our control, we shall arrange for     alternative treks or tour to a different place. In case, due to Government lockdown restrictions we are unable to continue with any of the plan, your     only tour amount will be refunded and travel amount will be refunded as the travel operator standard refund process. If the participant is unwilling     to go for the alternative tour/trek, there would be no refund or voucher issued as for this tour. All the services have to be arranged beforehand and     cannot be shifted to any other date.

No show and tour changes/cancellation due to bad weather or natural calamity will be non-refundable. No money shall be refunded in case a person     is rescued and brought back to the base camp before the said date. If the travellers need to return before the trip ends, they shall have to bear all the     expenses for accommodation and meals at respective or any other place. The services on the tour are arranged for even if they go unused.

    In Case of Injury / Casualty

 If any traveller feels unwell and has to be brought back to the base camp, all the charges, including the rescue fees, medication, Ambulance /     Transport,   accommodation apart from the scheduled itinerary, Meals or any other medical or Miscellaneous expenses will have to be borne by the     traveller.

    Unused Services

We shall not offer or pay any discounts or refunds for missed or unused services which were missed or unused by the client due to no fault of ours,     or our representatives, which shall include any termination of the client’s participation in the tour product due to the client’s own fault, negligence     or breach of these terms.

·  Any extra transfers required during the tour will be charged extra.

·  For room sharing, in case you have opted for double sharing and we don't have any partner to share, your accommodation will be done in triple sharing

·  Anything that is explicitly not mentioned in the inclusions and optional as suggested in the itinerary, are not a part of this package.

·  Images shown about the place, city, hotel, attractions, etc. are for illustration purpose only and may not be the same as linked to the itinerary or services provided.

·  Cost and consequences arising due to any force major situations including but not limited to unforeseen circumstances like; natural calamities, political disturbances, health issues, flight delays / Cancellations, things beyond our control, etc. will have to be borne by the guest.

·  Airport transfers and coach tours are based on all guest traveling together in same flight, any additional transfers will not be provided if guest travel on different airlines.

·  There will be additional charges for the passengers would like to stay back at the destination or transit.

·  If you are carrying gifts, brochures, standees, placards, t-shirts, stationery, backdrops, laptops, projector, snacks or any such items for distribution purpose, then it is sole discretion of customs authority or regulations.

·  Duties or gratuities, if any will be payable by the guest/corporate only.

·  Allowing excess luggage is subject to the airline approval, if any such charges will be payable by guest/corporate only.

·  Any changes in itinerary or upgrade in hotel /s will be charged extra, over and above the given cost (which will be informed to the customer in advance for final acceptance and payment.
